A Tale of Two Breweries

Heavy Seas and Union partner on English ale

Baltimore brewers Heavy Seas Beer and Union Craft Brewing have joined forces to create an English style “Olde Ale” just in time for FeBREWary. The Olde Ale beer features flavors of nuts, cocoa, molasses and dried fruits floating over a chewy, luscious body of English malt goodness. Inspired by the rich, warming brews of a bygone era, and with the addition of local Domino Brown Sugar, this example of neighborly camaraderie will yield a true, comfort ale that should kindle its own Baltimore nostalgia.

The collaboration between two of Baltimore’s top craft breweries is part of Heavy Seas Beer’s Partner Ships series, which features beers produced in collaboration with other regionally and nationally recognized brewers in the spirit of friendship, creativity and adventure. The Partner Ships series is brewed at Heavy Seas Beer in Baltimore and celebrates the pioneering spirit of American craft beer today. Celebrate the partnership at the kick-off party, the Partner Ship Shakedown, from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, February 3, at R. House in Baltimore. More information about the event is below.
