Mike Rowe is one of many notable Baltimore celebrities who recently appeared in print, radio and other advertisements revealing what they love most about Baltimore in our My BMore campaign.
Mike is known for many things. He served as host of Discovery Channel’s “Dirty Jobs,” where he experienced first-hand what it’s like to tackle some of America’s least sought-after occupations and as host of CNN’s, “Sombody’s Gotta Do It,” highlighting some of the country’s most unique individuals. He’s an actor, star of the Ford commercials, and a former professional opera singer. But above all, he’s a proud Baltimore native.
Rowe returns to his hometown – and former artistic home – for a show at The Lyric Opera House on Saturday, September 24 at 8 p.m. After 300 dirty jobs and 10 years of grime, slime and overtime, Rowe is finally coming clean. In “Dirty Talk with Mike Rowe,” the entertainer will reflect on his successful career – from the Lyric to the home shopping industry to the unlikely events that led him to the filthiest nooks and crannies in America – and will finally reveal the dirty truth behind the dirtiest show on TV. It will be a light-hearted evening of unforgettable escapades and filthy adventures so bizarre they have to be true. There will also be a Q&A following the show.
We’re giving away a signed book and two tickets to Dirty Talk with Mike Rowe at the Lyric for one lucky winner. Visit our Facebook page to enter. To learn more about Mike’s Baltimore and what he loves most about his hometown, click here.
