What It's Like

You and your flock will find loads of ways to spend your time at this wonderful urban jungle. Meet Africa’s biggest cats at the renovated lion viewing area, take part in intimate chimpanzee training encounters, feed a giraffe, groom a goat, go behind the scenes at Zoo Bites to learn about animal nutrition, and so much more. Every day, throughout the day, enjoy interactive, scheduled zookeeper chats. Check the online schedule for times.

Don't Miss

Little ones will love the fun of an old-fashioned carousel ride, the thrill of face painting, and a trip on the Zephyr, a 10-minute locomotive ride that departs from the zoo’s farmyard exhibit. While you’re there, ask about the zoo’s many conservation efforts to save wildlife and protect wild places throughout the world. And be sure to check the Zoo’s calendar of events for special behind the scenes activities like breakfast with animals, penguin yoga or Brew at the Zoo, a beer festival on the zoo grounds.
