Welcome Sign Photo

Q: To Whom it May Concern, I am visiting Baltimore and, as is my custom with any first visit to a city, I would like to take a photo of that city's "welcome" sign. Does Baltimore have a "welcome" sign and, if so, where is it located? Thank you very much for your help and I look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Andrew H.
A:
The Welcome to Baltimore sign is located on MD295 North (Baltimore Washington Parkway) as you are approaching the city coming from Washington-DC.  It's just a ways after the MD-695(Glen Burnie/Towson) off ramp and just before the 895 Harbor Tunnel Thruway exit.  Hope this helped.

Q: Are there currently paddle boats for rent at the Inner Harbor? Other place near Baltimore? Info please!
A: Yes!  The paddleboats are available at the pier at Harborplace, 301 E Pratt St.  At last check, prices ranged from $8 to $15 per half-hour.  You will love the view of the downtown skyline from the water, and the paddle boats are fun for all ages.

Enjoy!

Q: We're going to be in Baltimore on Easter. What event is a must do? Are there any sunrise Easter church services? What church is a must-see in Baltimore?
A:

By far, the must-see church in Baltimore - and I’m not even Catholic J … is the Baltimore Basilica

http://www.baltimorebasilica.org/index.php?page=holy-week-schedule-2012

The Baltimore Basilica, built from 1806-1821, was closed from April 2004 until November 2006, for a major restoration to return the church to its original design, as envisioned by America's first bishop, John Carroll, and as planned by renowned architect Benjamin Henry Latrobe. The Basilica reopened with much fanfare and celebration, just in time to commemorate her 200th Anniversary.  The Basilica is also one of Baltimore's beloved cultural institutions, offering educational tours daily, as well as hosting uplifting concerts and informative lectures.  We also invite you to visit the beautiful Pope John Paul II Prayer Garden, adjacent to the Basilica, at the corner of North Charles and Franklin Street.

Q: What car rental companies are close to Penn Station? Will some of them pick us up at the station? We plan to visit in mid August, arriving on Amtrak.
A: There is an Enterprise office near Penn Station at 2630 Sisson St.  I believe they will pick you up from Penn Station, but if not, there is a line of taxis outside Penn Station that can drive you quickly to the Enterprise office.  Here's the office in question:

Thank you for choosing Baltimore as your destination!  Enjoy your stay!
