Welcome to baltimore.org's Q & A section! We've enlisted an army of experts – the Baltimore Buzz Brigade – who are always available to point you in the right direction. Eating Out

Q: Will be in Baltimore for 3 days, need places to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, good food with good prices.
A: Also in Fells Point, I would recommend Jimmy's for breakfast, right on the square, or Blue Moon Cafe (known for it's Captain Crunch French Toast.) But get to both early....they get busy!

For lunch, in Harbor East, I would recommend Taco Fiesta or Bagby Pizza.  Further up Calvert Street in Mt. Vernon, near Center Stage, is one of the best pizza places in the City - Iggie's.

And for dinner, the Helmand is a must (in Mt. Vernon) or Marie Louise Bistro.

We have so many wonderful restaurants in town, it's hard to narrow down. Enjoy your visit and enjoy your eating.

A: You don't say where you are staying but here are some ideas around town:
For breakfast, Miss Shirley is getting lots of buzz ( www.missshirleys.com) It's on Lombard Street near the Inner Harbor and the original location is in north Baltimore on Cold Spring Lane near Loyola University Maryland.
Breakfast at the Hyatt is a treat, too.
If you are in Fells Point, Bonaparte Breads is a lovely little cafe with a French accent with both breakfast and lunch specials. Good prices, too.

For lunch, there are plenty of places at the Inner Harbor, Fells Point and Little Italy for something good. Amicci's offers great Italian favorites and is fairly inexpensive, too. A little out of the way but well worth the walk is the restaurant run by the Baltimore International College, the local culinary arts school. The Bay Atlantic Club ( www.bic.edu) is on Redwood Street in the business district. Always pleasant and inexpensive.

For dinner, Bo Brooks ( www.bobrooks.com) isn't inexpensive but the crabs are terrific (no crabs are inexpensive this summer, alas.) And it has a waterfront view and parking. Another wonderful crabhouse is Obrycki's (no view but it has parking, too). Both are in Fells Point/Canton.
If you want something completely different, you might like Ze Mean Bean Cafe (Eastern European fare, a jazz brunch on Sundays and moderate prices.)

If you are farther up Charles Street, Sammy's Trattoria (near the university of Baltimore and the Meyerhoff Symphony Hall) has moderately priced Italian food and a friendly atmosphere. Sascha's 527 Cafe serves small plates and regular sized plates in a charming space. It's within walking distance of the Inner Harbor and is near the Washington Monument. Both serve lunch and dinner. If you like Tapas, try Tapas Teatro, near Penn Station. (no reservations, dinner only) And if you are going to the Baltimore Museum of Art, Gertrude's at the museum is a great choice for lunch or dinner.

I could go on ... Baltimore is blessed with lots of creative chefs. Have a good time and eat well!!
