Visiting the Harbor
Q: I will be visiting the Inner Harbor labor day weekend. Please advise on area attractions to and restaurants to visit while at the Inner Harbor.
A: Ditto to all that Joan recommended! Also, I think The American Visionary Art Museum (AVAM) is such a gem of the city and I don't even like museums all that much.
As a self proclaimed foodie, I'll tell you there are a ton of fabulous options food, but the best ones aren't right in the Inner Harbor (the touristy area). Although I know a good pick for you would still depend on where you're hotel is and what type of food your into. My personal favorite place for Baltimore restaurant reviews and navigation is the City Paper website. To help you navigate through the neighborhood options, I'd say stick to those options in Federal Hill, Mount Vernon, Harbor East, Fells Point, and Canton to stay relatively closer to the Inner Harbor area where you are probably staying.

A: If this is your first trip to Baltimore ... you might want to think about a Harbor Pass!

You get to visit all the popular area attractions and save $ too!
Of course, the Orioles are in the town so after enjoying a day of fun at the Aquarium, Science Center or Port Discovery .... head over to Orioles Park at Camden Yard !
As for restaurants, there are far too many to mention here. Check out:
