Facing Our Community is a small exhibition of artwork created by Maryland middle and high school students in response to the Walters Art Museum’s special exhibition Revealing the African Presence in Renaissance Europe, which will be on view October 14, 2012–January 21, 2013. Created through an outreach program between Maryland schools and the Walters’ education staff, students’ work will include a variety of media such as visual, digital and performance art, essays, and video or audio components.
