Students will learn about the preparation of various supports, the use of painting tools, color mixing, and the basics of handling paint. While focusing on concepts of painting, such as color-value relationships, form, composition, and spatial relationships, the class will also have a strong emphasis on personal vision and individual discovery. Projects may include still life, the figure, as well as abstract and conceptual challenges. Beginners are welcome.<br>Instructor: Kathleen Pumphrey
