Come Take a Train Ride with Santa!

WHAT:
The B&O Railroad Museum’s Holiday Festival of Trains will be better than ever for the 2008 holiday season. In addition to its already renowned display of model railroads and holiday entertainment, the B&O is offering something brand new--a train ride with Santa! During weekends throughout Holiday Festival of Trains, Santa and his helpers will be on the train handing out candy canes to visitors. Where else can you ride the rails with Santa but the B&O?! Another addition for 2008 is “Santa’s Secret Shop” hidden within the museum, where children will have the opportunity to purchase their very own gifts for family and friends. There will also be holiday stories and videos and a craft area for children to decorate a train themed ornament. N-scalers will be running how-to model railroad classes. Visitors can even have their picture taken at the holiday freight house.

WHEN:
Grand Opening Weekend Friday November 28 through November 30, 2008 Friday, November 28, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Continues December 1 through December 30, 2008 Monday – Saturday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.

*Please note the Museum will be closed December 24, 25, 31 and January 1.
