Join The National Great Blacks In Wax Museum as we celebrate the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Museum will host three events during the weekend of January 16-18th as part of the MLK Jr. Holiday Celebration. These events will engage participants of diverse ages and backgrounds in the exploration of the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Weekend events will include: Fired Up: The Concert Be dazzled and amazed as Shades of Yale from Yale University bring you the music of the African Diaspora and the African American Tradition. Hear 11 Year Old Elijah Cole Evoke the Power and the Spirit of Dr. MLK 's Words. Witness Deborah Fakunle and Mahalia Jackson Become One in Music and Song. • When: Saturday, January 16, 2016 from 6PM – 8PM • Where: 1601 E. North Ave, Baltimore, MD • Cost: $10 for General Admission; $5 for Members The Legal Battleground: Panel Discussion and Screening of Selma Screening of the movie Selma followed by a panel discussion led by State Senator Lisa Gladden. The panel discussion will help attendees glean from the movie the challenges and accomplishments of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and the civil rights leaders of his era and will detail how those challenges still confront the nation today via voting rights, economic inequality, a flawed justice system, to name a few. • When: Sunday, January 17, 2016 from 5PM-8PM • Where: 1601 E. North Ave, Baltimore, MD • Cost: $10 for General Admission; $5 for Members Civil Wrongs to Civil Rights and Back Again: MLK Jr. Day Breakfast Event will include a traditional Breakfast with a Guest Speaker, performance by Brenda Tucker, and a Self-guided museum tour will be included. • When: Monday, January 18, 2016 from 9AM-11AM • Where: 1601 E. North Ave, Baltimore, MD • Cost: $25 for General Admission; $20 for Members
