October 31, 2015

The Occasional Symphony returns this Halloween to present a curated soundtrack for the legendary silent film NOSFERATU: A SYMPHONY OF HORROR. Hosted inside an aging, repurposed church sanctuary, Music Director Joshua Hong and newly appointed Associate Conductor Joon Choi will lead the fully costumed orchestra through chilling new works written specifically for the event by renowned composer Richard Einhorn and Occasional Symphony’s Executive Director James Young, along with masterworks from Mahler, Bartok, Schumann, Bruckner, Sibelius, Wagner, and Tchaikovsky. Music, space, and film will work together to create a thrilling and all-encompassing live concert celebration. Costumes are encouraged.
