Day
1:
Begin your visit to Baltimore with a tour of the first
basilica in the United States, the Basilica of the
National Shrine of the Assumption structure revered for its Catholic heritage
as well as its architectural magnificence. Then tour the home of Elizabeth Ann
Seton and the chapel where she prayed. Late afternoon, check into your lovely
north Baltimore hotel. Freshen up and
then enjoy a delicious dinner and wonderful performance at Lorenzo's Timonium
Dinner Theatre.
Day 2:
Following breakfast, your group will tour either the Cathedral of Mary Our
Queen, a grand cathedral built by a Baltimore businessman, or the
Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, D.C. In Washington, enjoy a full and
delicious lunch at one of the waterfront restaurants. Travel to the Kennedy Center for a highlight tour of
this cultural memorial to our Catholic president. Early afternoon, tour the new
John Paul II Cultural Center in Washington, D.C., a center dedicated to
the Catholic faith. Late afternoon, travel home.
