More Than 80 Restaurants Participating in 2nd Annual Baltimore Restaurant Week July 30 - August 5

The Baltimore Area Convention and Visitors Association (BACVA) and Downtown Partnership of Baltimore have once again joined forces to present a second helping of Baltimore Restaurant Week, July 30 - August 5, when more than 80 participating restaurants* will offer specially selected 3-course lunch and dinner prix fixe menus. During Baltimore Restaurant Week, locals and visitors alike can dine their way through Downtown Baltimore exploring the fresh tastes of the city's most popular neighborhoods including Federal Hill, Fell's Point, Little Italy, Mount Vernon, and the Inner Harbor.

In addition to a greater number of participating restaurants - more than 80 in all - this year Baltimore Restaurant Week has been extended to include a full seven days. All participating restaurants will offer a choice of pre-selected three-course dinner menus available for $30.07 per person not including liquor, tax and gratuity. Select restaurants will also offer three-course lunch menus for $20.07 not including liquor, tax and gratuity.

But, just like last year, there will be discounted parking for Baltimore Restaurant Week patrons at Baltimore City-owned parking garages.

A complete list of participating restaurants is available for review online at www.BaltimoreRestaurantWeek.com. The site includes menus for most of the participating restaurants, information on discounted parking, and a map of Downtown Baltimore parking garages.

"Baltimore's restaurant scene, like the city itself, is rapidly evolving and increasing in sophistication," said Downtown Partnership President Kirby Fowler. "You can get world class food, even in comfortable neighborhood bistros. We hope Baltimore Restaurant Week patrons will use the occasion to explore Baltimore's different neighborhoods and get to know all that's going on in this dynamic city."

Baltimore Restaurant Week provides us with another great opportunity to attract visitors to Baltimore and promote the city's culinary treasures," said Tom Noonan, BACVA president and CEO. "Baltimore has a wealth of dining options available to visitors and Restaurant Week provides the perfect opportunity for them to enjoy the tastes of Baltimore."

More than sixty restaurants participated in last July's event and most were completely booked with reservations - so much so that several extended their pre fixe Restaurant Week offerings for additional days, weeks, and even months. Bookings were so impressive that the national online reservation system, OpenTable.com, reported that Baltimore had the highest number of daily reservations of any first-year restaurant week promotion they've seen.

Reservations are recommended as many restaurants report heavy advance bookings. To help with reservations, BaltimoreRestaurantWeek.com features direct links to the restaurants and to OpenTable.com.

*Please see individual participating restaurants for menu and offer specifics. Not all participants will offer BOTH lunch and dinner prix fixe pricing and some restaurants have opted out of weekend service.
