BALTIMORE CELEBRATES "FREE FALL" PART TWO WITH HEADLINING ART EXHIBIT, DÉJÀ VU?

After an incredibly successful first year, Baltimore brings back free arts and culture program with value-added travel packages for perfect fall getaways starting at $169 per night

BALTIMORE - September 10, 2007 - Baltimore has much more to offer than foliage and crab cakes this fall. Throughout October, the city's second annual Free Fall Baltimore program will provide visitors with more than 300 free cultural events. Following the lead of the Walters Art Museum and the Baltimore Museum of Art, many of the city's treasured attractions are eliminating admission fees to provide free access to Baltimore's world-class arts and culture scene. The dedicated web site www.FreeFallBaltimore.com provides details on how to get in on a wide array of activities including live music, dance, theater, museums, art classes and history.

Appropriately celebrating the second year of Free Fall Baltimore is the Walters Art Museum's "Déjà Vu?" Revealing Repetition in French Masterpieces" exhibit. Featuring more than 60 works of art from world-famous artists like Delacroix, Monet, Degas, Cezanne, Matisse and others, the exhibit examines the artists' motivation for repetition in their works.

Whether you experience "Déjà Vu?", visit the history-filled USS Constellation or spend the afternoon at the Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park and Museum, Baltimore's Free Fall coupon book and special hotel packages give travelers a culture-filled and value-added getaway this fall. Sample packages include:

  • The Tremont Park Hotel offers a one-night stay plus breakfast for two in 8 East Restaurant and complimentary valet parking beginning at $169 per night.
