Baltimore Museum of Industry
Step back in time to the
early days of a port city-into vividly re-created workshops on machining,
printing, garment-making and metalworking.
Walk through an 1886
bank building; peek into the 1910 Bunting Pharmacy, where Noxema was
invented; experience local innovations that touched the world-from the world's
first disposable bottle cap and America's first umbrella company to the
invention of the world's first typesetting machine and modern radar-and
much, much more!
Dr. Samuel D. Harris
National Museum of Dentistry
This Smithsonian
Affiliate is a lively center where visitors discover the importance of a healthy smile with a
fascinating look at the rich history of dentistry. The permanent exhibition, "32 Terrific
Teeth," displays Queen Victoria's gilded dental instruments; George Washington's dentures;
and the world's only Tooth Jukebox, playing vintage dental commercials.

Original Washington
Monument
Our nation's capital may
boast the more familiar landmark, but Baltimore is actually home to the
very first monumentto our country's first president. Dedicated in 1829,
Baltimore's Washington Monument
soars majestically above Mount Vernon Place in the historic Mount
Vernon Cultural
District.
Baltimore Streetcar
Museum
This unique institution
restores historic streetcars that were once a vital part of public
transportation in Baltimore. Admission includes an audiovisual presentation of
Baltimore's streetcar history, a guided carhouse tour and unlimited rides on
original Baltimore streetcars. And don't miss the great selection in the
gift shop!

Fire Museum of
Maryland
With more than 50 rigs
on display, this museum has preserved and displayed a wonderful variety of
historically significant apparatus and related artifacts, memorabilia, and records
of the fire service of the United States. Special exhibits include a working fire
alarm telegraph system, badge and uniform displays, and Baltimore's High
Pressure Pumping System. The museum store is filled with books, collectibles, and
T-shirts and toys for kids and adults alike.
The Original Fell's
Point GhostWalk
Get into the spirit on the Original Fell's Point GhostWalk, an award-winning walking tour in an 18th-century maritime village. Fell's Point is the perfect backdrop for tales of the neighborhood's colorful history and haunted past. Choose to visit a favorite watering hole of Edgar Allan Poe to have a drink with the departed author or, if you're brave enough, sneak back to the final resting place of the Fell family.
