Baltimore and Maryland Once Again are Proud to Host AIBTM and America Meetings Week

AIBTM and America Meetings Week returns to Baltimore June 19-21.  The first Hosted Buyer ® show of its kind in the United States, AIBTM drew 1,500 meeting professionals and 800 exhibitors for its inaugural year in 2011.

“We are delighted to welcome Reed Travel Exhibitions (RTE) back to Baltimore,” said Tom Noonan, president and CEO of Visit Baltimore.  “This stellar tradeshow affords us the opportunity to showcase the city and the State of Maryland to meeting professionals from the United States and abroad.”

“It is also scheduled at a great time,” Noonan added. “AIBTM arrives as we are saying bon voyage to more than two dozen U.S., British and other international naval vessels and tall ships from around the globe that are here June 13-19 for the launch of Star-Spangled 200, the Bicentennial of the War of 1812.  Our guests who arrive on the 18th or 19th will be treated to quite a spectacle.”

RTE has announced that, due to the large number of new and renewing exhibitors, AIBTM will feature a larger show floor in 2012.

In addition to the larger show floor, Hosted Buyers will be offered the opportunity to attend AIBTM for three nights.  The new offering will allow all of the Hosted Buyers to participate in the full three-day program. AIBTM opens with Education Day on June 19 with new dedicated association and corporate programs, followed by the AIBTM Exhibition on June 20 and 21, providing two days of one-to-one meetings and networking. Qualified Hosted Buyers will also be invited to extend their stay for new post-event tours.

As a result, RTE notes that more Hosted Group Coordinators have come on board within the U.S. to work in concert with AIBTM to support the registration process.
