About the Program
The Baltimore Buzz Brigade is a marketing initiative developed by Visit Baltimore.
Under this initiative, 20 Baltimore supporters will be hand-selected and asked to promote the city of Baltimore to potential visitors over the coming year.
Selected participants will:
- Attend various events and attractions throughout the city.
- Share their Baltimore experiences online through videos, photos, blog entries, tweets, etc.
- Answer questions posed by visitors of the city.
- Receive various incentives, including exclusive access to Baltimore events and attractions.
Selected participants will also be featured on Visit Baltimore's website, Baltimore.org.
From through December 9, 2010, Visit Baltimore will be accepting applications into this group via this website: www.baltimore.org/pages/b3.
Strong candidates will:
- Be considered avid supporters of Baltimore.
- Have a thorough understanding of the city's offerings (culinary, events, attractions, etc.).
- Be active online (Facebook, Twitter, blogs).
At the end of the application period (approximately December 9, 2010), Visit Baltimore will select the 20 individuals who will be asked to join the Baltimore Buzz Brigade.
Selected applicants will be asked to attend an optional training session to become Certified Tourism Ambassadors. These participants will then be asked to participate in various activities (both online and offline) for a one-year period.
By submitting an application for the Baltimore Buzz Brigade, all applicants understand that they will be required to participate in regular activities throughout the one-year period. If a participant is found to be unable to fulfill this requirement, he/she will be removed from the program.
