Shopping in Style From Antiques to Boutiques

DAY ONE

If you love antiques and shopping, then Baltimore is your kind of town. Start your day in Federal Hill with a visit to the Antique Center. There you will find selections of exquisite paintings, clocks, collectibles, fine porcelain and more from over 30 antiques dealers. And don’t miss the Antique Warehouse at 1300, Baltimore's largest antique center with 35 independent dealers, offering crystal, porcelain, silver, paintings, estate jewelry and more.

From Federal Hill, catch the Water Taxi to Fells Point, a serious shopper's destination for antiques or unusual and fun gifts. Founded in 1700, Fells Point offers cobblestone streets, quaint shops, galleries, pubs and restaurants, and day's worth of antique browsing. Visit Fleet Street's Another Period in Time to look through their incredible collection of yesterday's treasures. The Fells Point Antique Dealers Association represents over 40 antiques dealers in the neighborhood whose wares are sold through quaint shops and multi-dealer emporiums.

Just down the street from Fells Point is Baltimore's hottest, newest old neighborhood—Canton! There, be sure to visit the Can Company for a great variety of shops and restaurants. Housed in the former American Can Manufacturing Plant, this restored space and its in habitants are sure to delight!

DAY TWO

Make sure you are wearing comfortable shoes, because there is more shopping on the agenda in Baltimore! Harborplace & The Gallery in the Inner Harbor features 150 different shops, 12 sit-down restaurants, 40 eateries, and live outdoor entertainment on the waterfront. If you're looking for local ambiance at lunchtime, try Lexington Market, America's oldest municipal market. With over 140 merchants selling and displaying every kind of food you can imagine, from crab cakes to Middle Eastern fare, Lexington Market is a delight for the senses.

Just outside the city, there are wonderful shopping malls and outlets. Fifteen minutes north of Baltimore is Towson Town Center, Baltimore's premier shopping destination featuring Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, Macy's, and over 200 unique and exciting retailers.

And if outlet shopping is what you desire, be sure to make a stop at Prime Outlets on the Eastern Shore. With name brand values at tremendous savings, Prime Outlets is worth the trip. The area's newest shopping destination is Arundel Mills Mall. This enormous emporium features over 200 stores—from the Bass Pro Shops Outdoor World to designer outlets. You may leave Baltimore with your wallet a little lighter, but you are guaranteed to leave with a smile, wanting to return again soon!
