Light City Artists

Experience a free harbor-front light walk featuring light displays and sculptures; video projections on buildings; interactive light installations; and performances combining light, art, dance and music.


The second annual Light City Baltimore centers on the 1.5-mile BGE Light Art Walk with 50 attractions including illuminated visual artworks, street theater, musical performances and concerts. The original artworks are by local, regional, national and international artists selected by a jury through a call of entry.

Performance artists will bring Light City to life with interactive performances, dance and musical entertainment that will delight and inspire at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater and along the BGE Light Art Walk.

Neighborhood Lights is an immersive community arts program of Light City Baltimore, organized by the Baltimore Office of Promotion & The Arts, that branches out beyond Baltimore’s Inner Harbor into eight neighborhoods throughout Baltimore City. Artists-in-residence work directly with one of eight participating neighborhoods to create an illuminated public project.

Families can visit Mini Light City near West Shore Park for hands-on, illuminated craft activities in a youth makers’ tent, children’s entertainers and whimsical snacks such as lighted cotton candy. The park is home to a sound garden by artist David Hess. Located near the Maryland Science Center, Mini Light City hosts events from 5 to 8 p.m. nightly.
