Diamond, a troubled teenager struggling to come to terms with her parents’ divorce, faces suspension after misbehaving in school. Given a choice between spending the weekend with her strict military mother or joining her eccentric grandmother Ruby on a road trip to a church revival, Diamond reluctantly chooses the latter.
