Middle East Baltimore Memory Project Mural Unveiling

All are invited to attend the unveiling of the Middle East Baltimore Memory Project at St. Philip’s Evangelical Lutheran Church on Sunday, October 23, 2022. The Middle East Baltimore Memory Project is a public archive/ mural made in collaboration with Molly Hurley, Ky Vassor, community members and community leader Donald Gresham honoring the contributions of Benjamin Baylor Sr., Lucille Gorham, Pat Tracey, and Lisa Williams. This public catalogue will contain over 150 historic images from the neighborhood’s various community organizations, present-day photos, and under highlighted leaders.

The reveal will begin with a march commemorating Baltimore Redevelopment Action Coalition for Empowerment’s 20th Anniversary at 11:30 AM, followed by complimentary lunch at St. Philip’s Church at 12 PM. After lunch attendees will have an opportunity to hear from community leaders, artists, and the mural honorees’ families.
