The American Bridge Association. Inc. (ABA) is one of the oldest national duplicate bridge organizations in the U.S. It was founded in 1932, and held its first national event in 1933 and continues to hold two national tournaments annually. The Baltimore Congress of Bridge Clubs (BCBC), an affiliate of the ABA, will host the 2020 Spring National Tournament, April 2-8, 2020, in Charm City for the first time. The ABA is a welcoming, diverse non-profit organization which advocates bridge competition by sanctioning duplicate tournaments throughout our country. Duplicate bridge is a great intellectual sport for all ages of players and helps to develop and/or retain skills in mathematics, logic and analytical thinking. Members of the American Bridge Association are predominantly senior citizens, representing all walks of life, who enjoy the challenges and competitiveness of duplicate bridge. This seven-day event will attract over 400 bridge players from across the country and the BCBC is thrilled to be their host.
