Overview

Activism & Art: the Catonsville Nine Fifty Years Later is an exhibit that will examine one of the most iconic and written-about acts of political protest in 20th century American history. On May 17, 1968, nine Catholics entered the Selective Service office in Catonsville, Maryland, destroyed draft files in protest of the Vietnam War, and waited peacefully to be arrested.
