Charm City Bluegrass Festival
Now in its 11th year, the award-winning Charm City Bluegrass Festival will take place May 3-4 in the new Baltimore Peninsula neighborhood! The family-friendly event celebrates the city’s folk, Americana, bluegrass and acoustic artists. This year’s lineup includes legends Noam Pikelny & Stuart Duncan with Friends, Celtic/roots powerhouse Scythian, Po’ Ramblin’ Boys, Wood Belly, Willi Carlisle, The Sweet Lillies, The Slocan Ramblers, Sicard Hollow, Hampden All-Stars (featuring your favorite Charm City musicians), Dragondeer, Deadgrass, Rachel May & Friends, Jacob Panic and more to be announced!

Just south of Federal Hill, Baltimore Peninsula is the result of a massive multi-year development project that turned a former industrial pub into a scenic waterfront neighborhood alive with restaurants, apartment buildings, green spaces and entertainment. Travel to the festival via Water Taxi, then take some time to explore Sagamore Spirit Distillery, which has revitalized the Maryland tradition of rye whiskey. For a bite to eat, head next door to the reimagined Rye Street Tavern. Need non-meat options? You’ll find plenty at Bar Vegan and Slutty Vegan.
Enjoy a retreat from the day-to-day grind at South Point, a re-imagined open space (families and pets welcome) and entertainment pavilion with live performances. Relax in the Adirondack chairs or bring a picnic and watch the waterfront sunset. On the other side of the Hanover Street bridge, you’ll find Nick’s Fish House, a local seafood restaurant perfect for enjoying a crab feast on their waterfront deck.

No, this event is ticketed. Tickets start at $20. Children 12 and under get in for free. -
Can I take public transportation to Charm City Bluegrass Festival?
Yes! The CityLink Silver line will drop you off at the intersection of Hanover & Cromwell. Local buses #67 and #71 also run to the Baltimore Peninsula from downtown. You can also take the Water Taxi, which pulls up to the port on Tidewater St., right by Sagamore Spirit. -
How do I take public transportation to the Inner Harbor?
Baltimore's scenic Inner Harbor is easily accessible via bus, metro, Light Rail or the free Charm City Circulator. The Yellow and Brown CityLink lines take you to the Baltimore Convention Center, just a short walk from the Inner Harbor. You can also get to the BCC using the Charm City Circulator's Orange Line. You can also get close to the water via downtown bus routes 54, 65, 76, 71, 78 and more. See this map for more details. Appropriate Light Rail stops include Camden Station, Stadium (Federal Hill) and the Convention Center. If taking the Metro, get off at Charles Center and walk two blocks to the Baltimore Arena Light Rail station or enjoy a longer walk to the Inner Harbor. You can also take the Water Taxi during the day from Federal Hill, Locust Point or Fort McHenry. Check the Water Taxi and MTA websites on July 4th for updated schedules. -
