We hear about immigrants, refugees, and asylees all over the media – but rarely do we get to hear directly from those coming to America to make a new home. Join us as we welcome Senai Abella Obang and Hari Maya Dhamala, two individuals who were forced to flee their homes, eventually settling here in Baltimore. They will share their stories of escaping their homeland and the challenges of building a new home in a foreign land. This program is part of the Recovery & Renewal: The Immigration Experience series, presented in partnership with Baltimore Hebrew Congregation. The presentation will be followed by a facilitated discussion and light refreshments (dietary laws observed).
