Continuing its over quarter-century tradition of bringing award-winning jazz musicians to the City for intimate, memorable performances, The Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society kicks off its 2018 season with a concert by renowned jazz vocalist Kurt Elling Sunday, March 4, 2018. “An Evening with Kurt Elling” takes place at 5 p.m. at the Baltimore Museum of Art (10 Art Museum Drive, Baltimore, MD 21218). An individual subscription to the three concerts in the 2018 Chamber Jazz Series is available for $130. Tickets to individual concerts will be available for sale February 5, 2018. ABOUT KURT ELLING: Elling is among the world’s foremost jazz vocalists. He has won the DownBeat Critics Poll for 14 consecutive years and was named “Male Singer of the Year” by the Jazz Journalists Association on eight occasions. Grammy nominated over a dozen times, Elling has also been honored with international jazz awards, including the prestigious Edison Jazz Oeuvreprijs (Lifetime Achievement Award). Elling will be accompanied by Stu Mindeman, keyboards, John McLean, guitar, Clark Sommers, bass, and Christian Euman, drums.
