n association with the Ed Lally Foundation, the Baltimore Improv Group will be leading a workshop on how to use improv to help manage social anxiety. Following the lead of innovative health and wellness communities, this workshop looks to leverage the elements of improv performance (Listening, Agreement, and Adding), as a means of finding comfort in fear, minimizing stress, overcoming rejection, and unleashing confidence and creativity. In a non-threatening, judgment-free atmosphere, we begin with improv fundamentals to help students master the subtleties of communication through voice, expression, and body language. As students experiment with imaginative group play and movement, they learn how to respond spontaneously and confidently to unforeseen challenges.
