Overview

The Institute for Integrative Health will host the opening reception of A Beautiful Ghetto, Three Years Later: A Conversation About Healing on Thursday, March 15th, 6-8:30 PM. This photography exhibition by Devin Allen, the inaugural Gordon Parks Foundation Fellow and 2017 NAACP Image Awards nominee, documents the landscape and community of Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray. The images force the viewer to ask hard questions of their society and themselves. In bringing his exhibition back to the heart of his hometown on the third anniversary of the protests, Allen intends to engage the community in a dialogue on healing.
