Overview

Enjoy President's Day Weekend with fun, indoor family-friendly activities that will educate and entertain. On Saturday, join Port Discovery for Thomas & Friends(TM) Day at Port Discovery. Make Thomas the Train magnets, abstract train artwork, train whistles and train totes. Have fun with pop-up science projects that explore the science behind trains, simple machines and engineering through interactive demonstrations and experiments. Also enjoy live music from roaming musician, Mr. Norman, and an interactive version of the limited-time only play The Little Engine that Could by Watty Piper, performed at Port Discovery with special permission from Penguin Random House. On Sunday, enjoy portable art projects with Art a la Cart, let your imagination go wild with The Adventure to the Imagi Nation and Kamishibai story time, take part in Mother Goose on the Loose, Jingle Jangle Music time, & more! On Monday, Celebrate President's Day with tunes from DJ Holly, make patriotic hoop gliders, take part in an interactive story time featuring singing, dancing and finger plays, get musical during Jingle Jangle Music Time and in our hands-on Percussion Garden.
