Overview

Container, a Baltimore-based book arts press, sends authors and artists everyday objects as part of its "Multitudes" project series, inviting participants to transform the objects into one-of-a-kind artist's books and text objects. Join participating artists Jenny O'Grady, Amy Eisner, Sam Sheffield, Amber Eve Anderson and Erin Dorney to hear how they created one-of-a-kind artist's books from vintage lunchboxes and childhood board games, and see their objects firsthand. Over the course of the hour, attendees will rotate in small groups through participating artists' tables, where you'll get the chance to see their completed piece, learn about the highlights and challenges of creating object-based work, and ask questions. Container co-founders Doug Luman and Jenni B. Baker will also be on hand to share more about the project series and how you can participate in a future Multitudes cohort.
