Kinetics Dance Company announces the opening of its new season with "Worlds Within," on Saturday, November 12th at the Baltimore Museum of Art's Meyerhoff Auditorium. The event will feature four premieres and three pieces of returning repertory. Artistic Director Lauren Snyder and Guest Choreographer Jaya Mathur present a collaborative new work that layers the nuanced, sculptural elements of Bharat Natyam classical Indian Dance with modern dance techniques. Other new works premiering at this event are Mind Full by hip hop choreographer CJ Cunningham, Symbiosis, a duet by Franki Graham and Jeanna Riscigno, and a performance by the cast of Kinetics' Apprentice Company, choreographed by Erin Gum.
Returning repertory pieces will include Meagan Singleton's Immersion, Erin Gum's Colombus, and Lauren Snyder's GLASS, which incorporates mylar and mirrored sets.
Advance rates are available through Friday, November 11th. Tickets are also available for purchase at Kinetics Dance Theatre. Audiences should note that only payments by cash or check can be accepted at the door.
