For 40 years, David Sedaris has kept a diary in which he records everything that captures his attention-overheard comments, salacious gossip, soap opera plot twists, etc. Now, he shares his private writings with the world. Theft by Finding, the first of two volumes, is the story of how a drug-abusing dropout with a weakness for IHOP and a chronic inability to hold down a real job became one of the funniest people on the planet. The great skill with which he slices through cultural euphemisms and political correctness proves that Sedaris is a master of satire and one of the most observant writers addressing the human condition today. Sedaris will do a reading from his new book, Theft By Finding, followed by a Q&A and book signing. For information on how to purchase tickets, visit or call 410-235-1660. This event is sponsored by The Office of Drs. Papel and Kontis, YDI – Younts Design Inc., Eye Candy Opticianry, the Freemasons of Maryland and Kramon & Graham, Attorneys at Law.
