Al Hutchinson, President & CEO
As a board member of both the U.S. Travel Association (USTA) and Destinations International, Al Hutchinson participates in important industry conversations about COVID-19 impact and recovery. Alongside the Visit Baltimore executive team, he is leading COVID-19 recovery efforts for the convention and tourism industry in Baltimore and continues to serve as a liaison for Baltimore elected officials and industry stakeholders.
Sarah Schaffer, Chief Marketing Officer
Sarah Schaffer leads the organization’s marketing and communications strategies, and is guiding Visit Baltimore’s COVID-19 crisis communications efforts. She is also working with national, regional and local tourism partners to identify opportunities for support and collaboration during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dustin Arnheim, Vice President of Sales & Convention Services
In collaboration with the Baltimore Convention Center (BCC), Dustin Arnheim is working alongside the sales and services team to postpone and redirect meetings and conventions during the COVID-19 pandemic. He continues to lead Visit Baltimore’s services team and manages the relationships with area hotels and municipal facilities.
Bon Whiting, Vice President of Membership
Bon Whiting provides a direct link to the organization’s 800 members. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the membership team is working to respond to member inquiries, identify unmet needs and capture stories from our local industry so Visit Baltimore can effectively advocate for relief.
Charles Jeffers, Chief Operations Officer
Charles Jeffers leads the human resources, finance, research and hospitality functions of Visit Baltimore. As COO he keeps the Visit Baltimore team operable and ensures that the organization is effectively responding to the changing needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Craig Vay, Vice President of Finance and Administration
Craig Vay is responsible for developing and integrating Visit Baltimore’s financial policies, managing monthly financial reports, the annual budget and audits. He also serves as the accountant for the Visit Baltimore Education and Training Foundation and is working with the operations team during COVID-19 to ensure we continue to monitor revenue and industry impacts from the COVID-19 crisis.
Mia Blom, Senior Government and Community Affairs Manager
Mia Blom is the organization’s advocacy and government affairs liaison. She manages all civic and community engagement efforts. Mia is working to identify recovery programs and/or assistance opportunities for Baltimore’s tourism related businesses.
