What It's Like

With over 36,000 pieces of art spread out over a large campus, there’s a lot to see. The Palazzo-style building at 600 North Charles Street models a 17th century Italian palace, and the Centre Street building, built in 1974, is designed in a Brutalist style and includes art studios, an auditorium, the café, and a gift shop. The building at 1 West Mount Vernon Place features the museum’s contemporary collection.

Don't Miss

Check out the museum’s calendar of events for tours, talks, and lectures and Thursday night art-making events for both kids and adults ($5 fee), and music and dance performances. Groups of ten or more can schedule docent-led tours.
