This fall, Baltimore is attending and hosting a number of tourism and hospitality-related industry events providing great opportunities to promote and showcase Baltimore as a top meetings destination to industry professionals and meeting planners.
Representatives from Visit Baltimore attended the Convention Industry Council's (CIC) CMP Conclave event in Reno, Nevada September 26-28 to network with certified meeting professionals, exchange information on global trends and topics within the meetings industry and promote Baltimore as the host destination in 2016 when the Hilton and Visit Baltimore host this event. The CMP Conclave is the only meeting industry event held exclusively by the CIC for certified meeting professionals. The Baltimore hospitality community looks forward to welcoming so many influential members of the convention and meetings industry. The CIC will also host their Fall Board of Directors Meeting at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel.
The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) also recently held its fall Board meeting at the newly renovated Royal Sonesta hotel. Visit Baltimore partnered with the Sonesta to host a reception and dinner for attendees during their stay in Baltimore. In addition, Experient and Conference Direct, both highly valued client organizations, hosted high-level management meetings here in the city.
