On Saturday, April 16, 2016, at 1 p.m., high school baseball players from public and private schools throughout Baltimore city will compete in an all-star showcase game at Camden Yards as part of the 2016 President's Cup. The game is free, and all are encouraged to attend to support the students.
The showcase will feature an East vs. West game made up of public and private high school players from schools throughout Baltimore city. The event, created by Baltimore City Council President Bernard C. "Jack" Young, allows students from diverse backgrounds greater opportunity to interact with each other and form lasting and meaningful relationships.
The President's Cup aims to unite Baltimore's youth by using baseball to bring together groups of high school students from different backgrounds that normally would not compete with one another.
