Visit Baltimore Celebrates Black History Month

Posted on January 12, 2017

Visit Baltimore is working on a number of exciting events to honor Black History Month in Baltimore, starting with our sponsorship of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Parade on January 16. The grand marshal of this year's parade is singer/songwriter, Baltimore native and My BMore campaign personality Brave Williams, and Visit Baltimore will have a float in the parade accompanied by our new president & CEO Al Hutchinson.

On Saturday, February 18, 2017 from noon to 4 p.m. Baltimore's Legends & Legacies Jubilee will be taking place at the Baltimore Visitor Center. The Jubilee is an interactive celebration of history and culture in Baltimore which gathers many of the city's top cultural attractions under one roof for an afternoon of free interactive, family-friendly activities. The event will feature more than a dozen exhibitors offering experiential activities in addition to music, food samplings and history reenactors. For more information visit the website.
