February marked a busy month for the Visit Baltimore sales team; they traveled to key industry conferences and trade shows to generate future business in Baltimore.
ConferenceDirect CDX 2017 Spring, February 22-25, 2017, consisted of an audience of top ConferenceDirect associates and their clients. The Visit Baltimore sales team attended to build relationships with ConferenceDirect associates and generate new business opportunities. The event had over 150 attendees, and Visit Baltimore engaged in six one-on-one appointments, which represented 39,841 definite room nights with $28,175,611 in EIC value, with an additional 27,938 tentative room nights with an EIC value of $12,396,798.
RCMA Emerge Conference, February 7-9, 2017, attracted a group of religious meeting planners and church decision makers from around the country. Visit Baltimore attended this conference to create greater awareness of Baltimore as a convention, meeting and event destination for the religious community and to drive new short-term and in-house business to Baltimore. The team's efforts resulted in five RFPs, which represent 4,145 tentative room nights and $4,828,623 in EIC value in addition to opportunities with eight clients that represent 54,205 tentative room nights and $47,094,158 in EIC.
