The Visit Baltimore sales and leadership team attended the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA)'s annual Convening Leaders Conference January 9-11. This annual conference brings together meeting industry executives, meeting professionals, and global sales partners who have influence or decision-making ability in the selection of destinations for their organization's respective convention and meetings for education and networking over a three-day period.
Visit Baltimore met with 43 customers, 38 of which are key citywide conventions for Baltimore. These customers represented 26 prospect groups at 288,489 room nights and $151.7 million in potential economic impact and 17 definite groups which represent 289,609 room nights with an estimated economic impact of $136.5 million. The team also promoted our three-city partnership, Synchronicities, through the sponsorship of the PCMA Business School and by hosting a client reception which 159 clients and industry leaders attended.
