As we have previously shared, Mayor Pugh's administration introduced SB0846 & HB1030: Baltimore City - Hotel Room Tax - Convention Center Promotion. These bills extend through FY2022 provisions requiring that 40% of the proceeds from a hotel room tax imposed by Baltimore City be appropriated to Visit Baltimore.
This was a long process – and it's not over yet. That's why we are asking for your support on two critical action items:
- 1. Help us show a united front on the importance of tourism funding for Baltimore – and your business – to the Mayor.
2. Help us secure the support of the Maryland General Assembly and request FAVORABLE votes for SB0846 / HB1030 by appealing to your elected officials in Annapolis.
