Baltimore is now welcoming visitors to Penn Station with a 4-by-8-foot digital sign to showcase the city to visitors, residents and riders. The sign was unveiled August 6th by Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, Visit Baltimore, Amtrak and Downtown Partnership. The digital sign will be used to highlight positive messages about the residential, business and visitor appeals of the city through a colorful blend of animated messages and videos. Ninety Amtrak Northeast Corridor and long-haul trains, as well as the MARC commuter service, pass through Penn Station every day. More than two million passengers travel to or from Penn Station annually. The signage will be programmed from 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. in 10-minute cycles to deliver the maximum content to riders.
