Just off the highway as you enter the city, Gateway South, home to Horseshoe Casino, welcomes you to Baltimore. It is steadily being developed into an entertainment hotspot.

Gateway South

Get Lucky

Get lucky at one of the city’s newest entertainment centers, which centers on the Horseshoe Casino, the second-largest casino in Maryland with its 122,000-square-foot gaming floor. The multimillion dollar facility neighbors the Ravens’ M&T Bank Stadium and Oriole Park at Camden Yards, making this southern area of the city a top destination for all types of games. The casino is managed by Las Vegas-based casino and resort giant Caesars Entertainment, which knows how to entertain, and features restaurants, bars, lounges and more than 2,200 slot machines.

Celebrity Nosh

Horseshoe Casino has attracted local restauranteurs, as well as celebrity chefs, including TV super chefs Gordon Ramsay, Giada Le Laurentiis, and Guy Fieri. Food Network star Guy Fieri offers his signature unique twists on traditional dishes like hamburgers and wings at Guy Fieri’s Baltimore Kitchen + Bar, and quicker bites at Guy’s Bar-B-Que Joint in the Baltimore Marketplace. Gordon Ramsay also has two spots where you can sample the firey British culinary personality’s dishes: the upscale Gordon Ramsay Steak and rib-roast starring Gordon’s Roast Revolution. Emmy Award-winning celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis shares her signature Italian-American food at GDL Italian by Giada.

Bar Games Galore

Game, a 10,000 square foot sports bar and game room, is a bar sports-lover’s dream. With old-school arcade games like Donkey Kong and Pac Man, as well as every bar sport you can think of, it’s hard to get bored at Game. That is, unless you’re not a fan of any of the following, featured at the bar: pool tables, ping pong tables, skee ball, fooseball, air hockey, beer pong, darts, dome hockey, claw machines, corn hole, and hillbillie golf. It doesn’t disappoint as a sport bar, either, with more than 30 TVs playing a variety of sporting events. A short walk from other entertainment centers in Gateway South, the establishment is a great option before, during or after a Ravens or Orioles game—or as an add-on to a night out at nearby Horseshoe Casino. Other conveniences include phone charging stations and free parking.

Did You Know?

City agencies are working to make Gateway South even more of a sports and entertainment destination than it already is. Horseshoe Casino and Game Baltimore will soon be joined by entertainment hotspots Hammerjacks, a music venue/club, Topgolf and more.
