(BALTIMORE, MD) —Visit Baltimore has named Allison Burr-Livingstone as the executive director for the Visit Baltimore Education and Training Foundation – its new charitable organization. Burr-Livingstone will manage the business and affairs of the Foundation and, working with a Board of Directors, provide direction and leadership toward the achievement of its mission, strategies and annual goals.
Its objectives are to promote workforce development in the tourism sector, and, to initiate, facilitate and support heritage, cultural and/or multicultural tourism programs, events and public awareness campaigns that educate the public about the City’s unique history and assets. A large focus of the Foundation’s mission will be to fund tourism scholarships and training opportunities.
Burr-Livingstone brings to the new position a background in nonprofit development and fundraising including former positions with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. She is also the Director of Government Affairs and Communications for Visit Baltimore.
The Visit Baltimore Education & Training Foundation is an independent, 501(c)(3), publically supported charity.
