(BALTIMORE, MD) – Visit Baltimore is pleased to announce the promotion of Dionne Joyner-Weems to vice president of marketing and community affairs.
As vice president of community affairs, Joyner-Weems is now responsible for raising awareness of the organization and acting as a connector between neighborhoods and the broader Baltimore tourism industry in addition to maintaining her previous duties as vice president of marketing.
In her new role, Joyner-Weems conceptualizes and implements programs, events and initiatives in relation to Visit Baltimore’s commitment to community inclusion, as well as raising the awareness and benefit of tourism within Baltimore neighborhoods. She works closely with Baltimore organizations, including nonprofits, schools and churches, to create programs and encourage further marketing promotions and community involvement.
As vice president of marketing, Joyner-Weems continues to implement leisure campaigns, programs and promotions by creating clear and strong tactics and overseeing project management. With the help of the marketing team, she designs and implements marketing strategies for a variety of internal and external Baltimore events and promotions. In this leadership role, Joyner-Weems guides members of the marketing team and works closely with members of Visit Baltimore’s upper management to ensure all marketing goals are accomplished.
