Hampden HalloweenFest
On Monday, October 31st, Halloween will take over The Avenue in Hampden! The Hampden Merchant Association and The Kiwanis Club are excited to host Hampden HalloweenFest, an in-person and virtual costume contest for all. From 5-7 p.m. on Halloween evening, participants will be able to walk around visiting shops in and around The Avenue, trick or treating and showing off their best Halloween looks. Along the way, participants will be able to top at clearly designated “Selfie Stations” located at either end of the Avenue to pose and take pictures of their costumes for a chance to win trophies and a grand prize!
To enter and compete the costume contest, participants must tag @shophampden and post a picture to Instagram. Winners will be chosen the following day, November 1st by local undead dame, Aurora Gorealis for Funniest, Prettiest, Most Original and Best Overall costume! All winners will receive a trophy courtesy of the Kiwanis club of Hampden and one lucky Grand Prize winner will take home a gift basket full of treats, gift cards and swag!
Multiple trophies will be handed out for age ranges in the 3 categories – 0-2, 3-5, 6-8, 9-11, 12-18, 18+. There will only be one grand prize. Participants will need to post a picture on Instagram, tag @shophampden in the picture, and indicate age ranges to participate by holding up their age category sign in their photos.
