Baltimore Selected as Host City for American Society of Association Executives 2033 Annual Meeting & Exposition
BALTIMORE, MD — Visit Baltimore, the official destination sales and marketing organization for Baltimore City, today announced that Baltimore has been named the host city for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) Annual Meeting and Exposition in 2033. The ASAE Annual Meeting will bring significant economic benefits to the city, marking a major win for Baltimore’s travel and tourism industry.
ASAE is the premier global, professional organization for association executives with more than 52,000 individual members and more than 1,800 organizational members. The ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition is often dubbed the “Super Bowl of meetings” and is the largest annual educational and networking conference for the association profession in the world.

The average immediate economic impact of the ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition is between $15-18 million over the four-day convention. The prospective downstream economic impact makes hosting the ASAE Annual Meeting unique in the meetings industry, with data citing that host cities can expect 20% of attending decision-makers to book future business in their city within five years of hosting. This equates to a potential economic benefit of $500 million for Baltimore.

The bid for the 2033 ASAE Annual Meeting, made possible by financial support from the District Management Committee of the Baltimore Convention & Tourism Board, showcased a bold vision of the city’s future, seeking insights from local leaders about Baltimore’s transformation into an affordable, walkable and culturally rich destination. This forward-thinking approach featured cutting-edge technological elements, including a custom landing page, a Charm City time capsule and a virtual reality presentation created in partnership with REJ and Associates and MindGrub.
