The Double Stops & The Bayberries Double Bill
Join the Double Stops and the Bayberries for a special double-bill at An die Musik Live!
The Double Stops, an acoustic duo comprised of Kait Lee and Z Smith, is a musical collaboration catalyzed by the departure of a good pal and bluegrass phenomenon. You will find them around Baltimore playing old country, bluegrass, and whatever else they damned well please!
The Bayberries are a Baltimore-based female trio whose original music weaves together bluegrass and folk sounds, classical styles, and influences from around the globe. Featuring Danielle Williams on mandolin, ukulele, piano, and vocals; Samantha Flores on cello and vocals; and Hana Morford on viola, violin, and vocals. This is a night of exceptional musicianship, highlighting beautiful voices from the local scene that you need to hear!
Mexican cellist Samantha Flores is a dynamic performer-educator and arts advocate. Her musical performances and community engagements have taken her all across the United States, Latin America, and Europe. When not making music, Samantha enjoys cooking, vintage shop exploring, and reading poetry for inspiration.
A native Marylander, Hana Morford is a violist/violinist, educator and arts administrator. She believes deeply in the power of music to connect and engage communities, and has performed and taught extensively throughout the US. Hana is excited to make music beyond the classical concert halls in which she was trained, and has been so grateful to learn and grow with the Bayberries.
Danielle Williams is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, conductor, and passionate music educator who uses experiences she’s had around the world to shape her art, inspire new projects, and fuel cross-cultural collaborations. She has lived and taught music in a wide range of contexts and locations including Palestine, Brazil, France, and Tanzania.
