Home Events Tomatoes – “The Poison Apple”: Cooking Seminar with Chef Jerry Edwards

Prepare to unravel the thrilling, yet misunderstood, history of the tomato, once ominously nicknamed “The Poison Apple” by Europeans! We’ll explore why this beautiful fruit was blamed for causing mysterious illnesses centuries ago, contrasting that dramatic past with its vibrant present. Best of all, Chef will banish the historical fear by demonstrating several exciting, perfectly safe recipes using a colorful variety of fresh garden tomatoes!

Allergies and vegetarian requests are welcome. Please leave a comment upon booking.

This will be a cooking demonstration, and you will be able to taste each dish. Participants will go home with a printout copy of recipes. Wine pairings are included with each dish.
