In celebration of the 188th anniversary of Frederick Douglass’ escape from slavery to freedom in historic Fell’s Point, BAATC/BBH Tours is hosting a multi-day tribute to the legendary abolitionist aka Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey-Douglass.

In 2000, Lou created the highly popular Frederick Douglass Path to Freedom Walking Tour in the historic waterfront community of Fell’s Point. During the week of September 3-6, 2026, Lou will lead the walking tour and host the Douglass lecture, a book fair and the Douglass exhibit in Fell’s Point Square. All events will be held at venues in Fell’s Point.
