Grab your ice skates (or a rental) and practice your triple axel at the Inner Harbor Ice Rink, sponsored by the Joseph & Harvey Meyerhoff Family Charitable Funds. Throughout the season, check the calendar for appearances by Santa Claus, theme days or special events.
The rice rink is located at the top of the Amphitheater in between the Harborplace Pavilions, overlooking the water. It’s open day and night from Nov. 1 through Jan. 20, with special hours around the holidays. Skates are available for rent, or you may bring your own. Visit InnerHarborIceRink.org for discounts, events and more.
After a few laps around the rink, relax at the Penguin Pad with Adirondack chairs, fire pits and heaters. If you’re looking for warm food or drink, nearby Tír na nÓg Irish Bar & Grill offers a special discount for skaters with a wristband.
For even more holiday fun, head to the German Christmas Village just a few feet away along the promenade. Dozens of local vendors offer gifts, decorations apparel and authentic German treats.
